2021 Manatee County Property Tax 4% Rebate Ends December 2

BRADENTON, Fla. (WWSB) – December 2, 2021 is the last day to receive the 4% rebate for Manatee County property tax payments in 2021; online payments can be made until 11:59 p.m.

Mailed payments must be postmarked the same day to qualify for the 4% discount. Drop boxes are available until 5 p.m. at DeSoto, Lakewood Ranch and North River Tax Collector offices. As with payments by mail, the customer’s check will serve as a receipt.

You can avoid the post office by filing your taxes online at taxcollector.com.

All owners of land, homes, and/or businesses in Manatee County must have received a tax bill, unless the gross tax is less than $15. If a tax bill has not been received, visit taxcollector.com to obtain the amount owing. The website allows taxpayers to access property tax records, print duplicate tax bills, pay by electronic check (no transaction fees) or credit card (fee for processing a third-party supplier), print a receipt and receive payment confirmation by email. Customers can also sign up to receive tax alerts via email at taxcollector.com. The central library makes computers available to those who need them.

The next discount period (3%) ends on December 31.

The tax collector’s office must receive outstanding tax payments for any before tax year by 5:00 p.m. on December 31 to be eligible for the December refund amount. Taxes for the current year 2021 are not considered overdue until April 1, 2022.

The tax collectors’ offices will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26, the Christmas holiday Thursday, December 23 and Friday, December 24, and Friday, December 31 for the New Year holiday.
