The assistant surveyor joins the commercial real estate agent

Newport-based commercial property agency M4 Property Consultants has recruited a new member of the team as it continues to expand its share of the South East Wales commercial property sector.

Claire Bignell, the firm’s new Associate Surveyor, brings extensive experience in the construction law industry to this position.

Having worked as an associate solicitor at M&A Solicitors in Cardiff, Cobbetts LLP in Manchester and Bevan Brittan LLP in Bristol specializing in construction, Claire is used to working closely with developers, landlords, tenants and all members of the construction team in negotiating and preparing construction documents.

She will assist the agency team in market research, implementation of marketing activities, visits, negotiations and client reporting.

Dan Smith, Managing Director of M4 Property Consultants, said: “Despite covid, we continued to receive a large number of inquiries and managed to convert many of them into rentals or sales for our clients.

“New clients continue to approach us on referrals and to ensure we can help we knew we had to expand. We are delighted to have secured Claire. She has already had a big impact and we are looking forward to see this develop further in the future.”

Claire said, “I look forward to this new role and understand a different element of the commercial real estate industry.

“The diversity of clients we work with is particularly appealing as they range from start-ups moving into their first office to investors and investment firms looking to buy or sell commercial assets. I have already found that my knowledge of matters of construction and law proves to be beneficial.

Since the start of the year, M4 Property Consultants has seen even greater demand for value-for-money industrial, convenience and office properties and looks to 2022 with great optimism.

The agency recently facilitated one of the largest commercial property deals in Wales in the last six months – the £7.9million sale of a purpose-built 90,000sqft industrial estate in Caldicot at Industrials REIT.
